Waitrose Kitchen goes Scandinavian

Waitrose Kitchen would like to welcome a brilliant new writer to its list of columnists. After working as a wine buyer, Helen McGinn started her wine writing career sending emails round to friends suggesting wines to try and other tips. Before long her Knackered Mother’s Wine Club was a blog and then along came a book deal. Now she hits the big time with a regular column in Waitrose Kitchen! Her monthly wine course will become essential reading for all sippers out there.
Also in the April issue – published by John Brown and out now in Waitrose stores – we are loving everything Scandinavian. Sandi Toksvig explains why the real secret to the pleasure of Danish food is not so much recipes as attitude and we show you Scandinavian dishes to make you feel great, from light lunches to decadent teatime treats.
Elsewhere, we take you on a tour of a beautifully styled home and show you how to get the look. There are refreshing Scandinavian cocktails to add to your repertoire and we meet the producers making waves on Sweden’s western coast with its quaint villages, dramatic views and plentiful seafood. If you don't fancy making the journey, don't worry, as we also show you where to find the best Nordic-inspired food in the UK.
